• Honorable Mention Magazine - a new online publication connecting military families with other military families - seeks talented freelance writers interested in telling compelling human interest stories about life in the military from a family's perspective. Position currently does not pay, however, your by-line will be featured with each story that is published. As business grows, position could move into a full time paid position. Job Responsibilities: Research and write compelling stories about life in the military. Articles will focus on the impact to families who currently serve alongside their service member, and the role they play at home and the challenges they must overcome with the deployments or overseas assignments. Job Requirements Experience not as important as the ability to tell a story in a sincere and positive tone. Excellent opportunity for writers to promote their work to potentially 3 million service members and their families, with national exposure. Familiarity with military protocol and OPSEC desired, but not required. Journalistic standards and ethics must be adhered to at all times. Please provide source information for all stories.
